Questions about Multimodal transport

Business CrossRoads Consultancy received a number of questions after its presentation Multimodal transport at the Business in motion forum in Chelaybsink, Russia: How do you assess the current state of the transport and logistics system inRussia? How is it integrated into the global logistics system? For the time being Russia has faced a problem of container yards shortage. Was there a similar problem in the West, and if it was, what kind of   solutions to this problem have been applied?

The director of Business CrossRoads Consultancy Jan Jansen gave the following answers:

  1. Russia is the largest country in the world, so it is quite difficult to give an answer on this question. Between the large cities (>500 000 inhabitants) there are good roads and railroads. In more remote areas it is of course more difficult situation, especially because of the long Russian winter.

Meeting at the Nyenrode Business University

On the 7th of September took place the meeting between entrepreneurs and managers from Russia and managers of two dutch companies Business CrossRoads Consultancy and RVJ Eurasia.

This meeting was held at the Nyenrode Business University in Breukelen, The Netherlands.

First managers of Business CrossRoads Consultancy and RVJ Eurasia introduced themselves and their business/ entrepreneurship experience . Then the discussion started under the direction of Sharda Nandram. She prepared a number of questions such as:

  1. What are the key strengths which you need in your business?

Зачем улучшать структуру экспорта других стран?

Как известно, Россия закупает огромное количество продовольствия за рубежом – мясо, мясо птицы, рыбу, молоко и сгущенные сливки, сливочное масло, цитрусовые, кофе, чай, подсолнечное масло,  сахар-сырец, белый сахар,  какао-бобы, продукты, содержащие какао и т.д.. Это неполный перечень продуктов в структуре импорта продовольствия из-за рубежа. Россия также закупает зерновые культуры, фрукты и овощи, например, большие поставки свежих овощей в Россию идут из Голландии, Турции и Израиля.
