Was there a similar problem in the West, and if it was,\u00a0what kind of\u00a0 \u00a0solutions to this problem have been applied?<\/p>\n

The director of Business CrossRoads Consultancy<\/strong> Jan Jansen<\/a> gave the following answers:<\/p>\n

  1. Russia is the largest country in the world, so it is quite difficult to give an answer on this question. Between the large cities (>500 000 inhabitants) there are good roads and railroads. In more remote areas it is of course more difficult situation, especially because of the long Russian winter.<\/li>\n
  2. The integration is of course not perfect. Trade flows are still a problem from Russia to Europe and vice a versa, because of the EU and Russian legislation. The entrance of Russia in the WTO<\/strong> might give a boost to get rid of the complex paper work hampering the doing business with Western Europe.<\/li>\n
  3. Yes, we had and still have. Solution could be investing in the storage infrastructure (good examples – Europort<\/strong> Rotterdam, multimodal transport<\/strong> center in Venlo<\/strong> etc.) by both the government and the private companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
